Hey everyone, I'm having a slight issue with latency in Ableton Live 8.0.4.
I'm working on a simple project right now with so far only an Audio Drum track and a Midi synth track. I have both tracks sent to Send A, which has a Compressor and Eq on it, and then the signal is obviously passed onto the Master Channel.
The problem is that there is a noticeable lag of the Midi track when sent to the Send Channel. I do not believe the Compressor in the Send Channel is the cause of the lag, because the lag remains in the Midi Channel after deactivating the compressor. If I route the output of the Midi Channel to the Master Channel, there is no latency. This one is perplexing me to say the least. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

It's very unusual to put compression or EQ on a send. They are usually considered to be insert effects. Despite that, the latency issue is an odd one. Could the EQ, rather than the comp, be causing it, or your midi routing? Maybe you could upload a screenshot.
BTW Do you know Live is up to 8.09 now?

hey control center...that was one quick reply!
I solved the issue...somewhat. I just created a bus channel, moved the comp and eq from Send A to it, routed both tracks to the bus channel, then sent the bus output to master, thereby skipping the send channel altogether. There is no more lag on the midi track anymore. Thanks for the help.
