Hello guys, I usually compose music for film and TV but as of late i have been fascinated by Hip-Hop production,in particular the production on Eminem's 'Relapse'.
After haring this album and then keeping up with Dr.Dre productions i have noticed that on some of his piano sounds he uses some kind of filter or effect.
Here are some examples of the sound i am referring to.
I'm not sure which VST is used for the piano but i have 4 front true pianos and East-West Goliath (Piano.
does any body have any suggestions as to how i can achieve this technique?.

try a low pass filter too, and after it if u wonna give the piano some dynamics u loose with the filter, try a stereo enhancer effect or a chorus at subtle volume

It sounds very small though, so there's not much stereo width on the piano. A subtle chorus can help to put it a little more in the background, preferably a mono chorus in this case.
I would first bandpass it, with the peak around 1-2k, then compression, then into the chorus and/or send it into a small room reverb.
