Hi,
I just listened to a band that I recorded on my space and it sounds absolutely shit. Does anyone have any tips? They took it off a CD I burned for them could that be the problem?

Pointless sounding good on it's own. Stick it in, find it's spot and leave it alone.

As has been said before, Myspace compresses the bugger out of music. You're better off uploading to somewhere like soundclick or soundcloud and embedding the music player from that site onto Myspace. Check my sig for an example of what I mean

I wouldn't worry about it too much- if the music is good, you'd be surprised at what people will listen on and still enjoy.

this is very true.AuthenticDan wrote:I wouldn't worry about it too much- if the music is good, you'd be surprised at what people will listen on and still enjoy.
it's an argument which has been made many times, but when you look at the way people are chasing superior quality formats in film for example, music delivery seems to be going in the opposite direction... we probably all know people who have ripped all their CDs to mp3... or only buy mp3s...

Who cares when you're listening on your laptop/cell phone's built in speaker?contrary wrote:Is it the sizzle sound of frying bacon or the sound of cymbals on an mp3........ That's progress fer ya![]()
MySpace used to reduce the bitrate of your mp3's to 90kps ... you could download one to see if that's what it is.Pleasurehead wrote:I just listened to a band that I recorded on my space and it sounds absolutely shit.
