Heck, I only use three synths.
3) Albino 3 2) Omnisphere 1) Alchemy The rest are samplers. |

Have and love many... but always use:
Sylenth (no. 1 from day 1) Firebird (though slowly moving to Gladiator - but still not too familiar with it) Jamstix (unbelievable software, my best friend in terms of percussion) Largo (despite the rip-off-factor its sound is sooooo cool) VAZ Modular (most straightforward modular synth out there due to its incredible layout; also has the best sequencer concept ever found in software synths, imo) |

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N= 2010150014%20103530090&page=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=Tru e&Order=PRICE 1 TB for $70, 1.5 TB for $90, 2 TB for $140!? Just months ago I remember 1 TB HD's were going for around $180! I wouldn't be surprised if we see 4 TB HD's for around $200 next year. Yeah, I guess 4 TB would be pretty good... at least until the next version of Trillian. ---- Yes, I will take your drum samples. |

IMO too much choice is unproductive. |

My top 5 synths,
1. Minimonsta 2. Subboombass 3. OP-X 4. Ultra Analog 5. FMHeaven others I have are Jupiter 8v/Predator/Imposcar/PPG Wave/Tarkus/Prophet V! Shit that's 11 soft synths and I'm still interested in Shioitor! It' actually a bit weird doing a list like this because in reality my favourite hardware synths(from liking certain records are) 1. Prophet 5 2. Minimoog 3. Jupiter 8 4. OB-X 5. FM7 3 emulations of my favourites have made the list but only 1 in the same place! If it was drum machines I think the list would be the same if they all existed! So Battery 3/samples fills the gap! 1. Roland 808 1. Nepheton 2. Roland 909 2. Drumazon 3. Roland 707 3. Nithonat 4. Casio RZ-1 4. JM-1 5. Roland 606 5. SD2100 6. Linndrum 7. DMX 8. SP1200 http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?comment=1&id=175 for the Linn Drum emulation called JM-1 http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=171 for the SP1200 emulation also Minidrumz 2 http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=423 for various drum synths |

I don't really know as I couldn't compare it, really it should reduce the quality and don't know if it does! But it is made with the assistance of the maker of the orignal SP1200, if you know more about give it a try, think it features some of the original sounds, not sure, I've installed it but obviously usually use battery 3, you could make kits with 'Goldbaby' SP1200 sample set for some old school realism |
