Hey for now only a stand alone exe version is avalible that allows you to export samples as WAV, a VST version will be comming soon if under demand and will allow motion sequencing of the knobs and feature a delay/time and functional panning.
Download Borg ER-1
http://www.mrpuzzle.org/files/borg.zip
Some people have been having problems with the above build, if you also have problems try this, it comes with all the dlls and stuff:

I spent a lot of work on this so I hope some one likes it! I even modelled the buttons in 3DS Max to match the originals! I know it's not exactly the same but I think that's the beauty!
The new wave shape on the LFO is a noise function that uses bezier curves for a more textured feel, can be used to make sound like dj scratching etc.
Here's something I made last night completely using samples from the Borg ER-1 and then sequenced them in fruity loops:
Sound Sample

Does anyone know any other forums where it would be worth mentioning this software? At the moment i've posted the same thing on the korg forums.

You could try posting it at the Harmony Central keys, samplers forum. They're pretty into hardware there.
This is a drum synth? It's pretty weird, cool though.

I had a play with this today, I thought it was an FX maker, it does some wicked Electro zappy effects or whatever you want to make and then you can export the WAV, you can make your own FX sample library with this, It's going on my PC, even as standalone, I'll just randomly twist knobs for a while and keep exporting the sounds.RunBeerRun wrote:You could try posting it at the Harmony Central keys, samplers forum. I only realised it was meant to be a drum machine afterwards, I couldn't get it to make any kicks or snares

had to try this because i sold my er mkII a few weeks ago.
it's a good try so far, but if you're looking to seriously emulate an electribe, here are my suggestions:
- the knobs are in need of some serious recalibration. compared to the borg, the real machine produces a much lower frequency tone when the pitch knob position in the lowest setting. it's in the subbass range, probably around 10 Hz. since borg can't go that low, it's impossible to make kicks. this is the closest i got to a kick with borg:

here a the settings i used:

it's more of a tom really. on the same settings, a real er would produce a barely hearable subkick.
- another important thing to improve are modulation types. the noise-ish looking ones work fine, but the modulations that are used to make kicks, such as the bottom right and the bottom left one, aren't supposed to loop infinitely. make them work in burst mode - after being triggered once, they shouldn't restart.
that said, your so far effort catches the original er's blip-bloppy side perfectly.

Right thanks for your feedback!
I will fix the main oscillator so that it works at lower frequencies, and I will change those two lfo shapes, you are talking about the slide one and the tap one just above? (i dont know if slide and tap are officially agree'd names for these shapes)
Also i'll be adding support so that it has multiple parts that can be triggered via midi and an option to input values for knobs!

well.. I am late. I have to sleep.. but, you don't need must slide. I just said detail knob.. It seems not general knob. min and max are not connected with view.
If I have to add some more, I will add tomorow..

When unpacking this, my antivirus pops up and suggests that the file is a virus called "TR/Dropper.Gen2". I suppose it is not, as nobody else is reporting such?
It's just alarming..
cheers

Ah I see bpblog!
It's not a virus but I compressed the exe using UPX http://upx.sourceforge.net/ which could cause your virus scanner to report false results.
I do have an ER-1, I will allow the depth knob to go into minus numbers
Debby what do you mean by detail knob?
