Anyone knows what happened to SQ8X?

It was supposed to be out by the end of 2008.
I have also e-mailed Kullmann, but no replies yet. Anyone have a clue, a slightest idea of this great plugin's whereabouts?

Oh, I just got a reply from Siegfried.
"I'm not sure when the SQ8X will be ready for release, it's all taking much
longer than expected. I hope I can do it within the next six months or so.
But perhaps I'll release another SQ8L version until then.
Just be patient a little longer. I'm pretty sure it'll be worth the wait."

could have bought the original ensoniq hardware synth some months ago. usually I am a hardware geek but THIS time, the plugin is just so good its not worth getting it
waiting for full vst parameters since a long time, nice to hear it should come this year!

Bump? The official links on KVR are dead, too. Hopefully Siegfried isn't.

Not likely ... And the last update was almost 2 years ago, so I guess Sigi lost interest and/or considers the job done.v1o wrote:any chance of a Mac version?
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.

Damn, that was over a year ago, and still no news on the front...

I still have confidence in this synth. It is my favorite one, and the one synth that I would really pay money for. If I remember correctly, the guy has something else that he does full-time for his living, and it's taking a lot of his time right now. Don't give up hope.

Also very interested in this plugin! I constantly use the SQ8L alongside my projects and have always loved the Ensoniq sound (so much so I use a combination of that plugin and the Ensoniq ESQ-1 on various projects).audiojunkie wrote:I still have confidence in this synth. I would quite happily pay for SQ8X, and would be interested in knowing if this is still going. Midi automation on things like the filter would be amazing, or syncing the LFO to the host.
Obscuresounds.

Not sure how you all find it usable. In ableton live, when loading projects, it doesn't save the preset... Am I doing something wrong?
