Hi,
I was always a big fan of JackDarks stuff.
I just recently stumbled across mention of this:
http://www.kvraudio.com/get/2661.html
(FYI, It was not actually free, and is not actually hosted at Gersic, although that page does have most of JDs stuff.)
I dont have that one and I totally wish I did. Im guessing it is an effin monster.
I would love to pay for it, but as far as I can find there is no source legit or otherwise for that bit of code.
Except, JD amazingly donated all his source files to the community on his way out...
and in the thread RunBeerRun mentioned that he was experimenting with a 'customization' of SizzleSpine. (Which JD OKed)
So, does anyone know of either:
1- A spot to buy Sizzle Spine?
or
2- Where RBR might be hiding his FrankenSizzle?
Thanks!!

Sizzlespine was a NOVUZEIT effect, but like the rest of the NOVUZEIT stuff it's no longer available (except for the SE source code).
It used to sell for $19.95 ...

Am I allowed to upload it? I have it loaded in SE right now, looks complete, I was thinking it might have an old EVM Lfo while I have the new ones.
It's pretty basic, stock clipper, delay, waveshaper. He blanked out all the module names so you have to know what it is or right click and make sure. That's why I never did anything with it.

The license explicitly says you can't recompile the unchanged software, then sell it. If Jack meant to say "or give it away" I think he would have. Seems to me I or someone eventually asked him this and he said it was okay long as it was sharing instead of selling.
Jack did mention that his intention in releasing the sources was to promote learning and experimentation, with the disclaimer that the projects weren't made as learning tools so some things might be obscure. Paying for a SynthEdit license and diving in wouldn't be so bad a summertime project. Just sayin'.

well yeah, id rather pay for the original.
i only mentioned RBR's cuz i also thought JD meant that if the sources were messed with and recompiled and given away, that would be ok.
yeah i wouldnt want to just snag the original for free.
no worries. not a big deal.
thanks for the quick replies!
i will try to pm JD if he is still around.

JackDark freed all the compiled Novuzeit some time ago. The source code only thing is obsolete since then.
It's in this thread but unfortunately the download page is down at the moment.

As far as I know there is no restriction to redistribute so everything is permitted I guess.
Edit: actually, thinking the server might be down for a long time or for good I have uploaded the whole lot, all the compiled plugs as well as the source, all in one convenient archive :

PS: PM me in case there is any sort of problem with that as I am not sure I'll be following the thread.
Cheers.

JackDark's original goodbye thread is here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2882632
In it, he posts a Rapidshare link to all of his files. This link still appears to be valid.
