hi I was looking for some casio CZ samples, and in doing a google search, all I found was a bunch of bootleg vendors and a shady looking ebay shop. anyone ever run across any CZ samples (preferably for EXS24)? the sad part? I have a mint CZ-1 sitting gathering dust downstairs. i have kids and less set-up time equals more recording time.

the sample set i posted is a run through of the presets and common tweaks.

i had a cz 101. it's the 2nd worst sounding casio next to the vl1. i don't know why the poster doesn't go for the myriad of free sounds and synths out there that are better

go to plasticalien.com for free cz-101 samples I made and also x-station samples.If on Ableton live and someone makes a sampler template with these please let me know so I can pass it on the others . thanks guys, some good stuff there. will check it all out when I get home.

as to why I just don't sample my own synth: that is one of those things that will have to happen someday when the wife takes the kids to visit their grandparents for a few days. I have a bunch of stuff lying around that I'd like to sample, but....

and as to the CZ101 sounding terrible, and why would I want it: taste is a funny thing. Don't think I would use it constantly, bt I have a soft spot for those sounds.

thanks. i've seen that one before and don't trust it at all. no brand or company name, some weird box that actually says Casio on it, and then when you scroll all the way to the bottom it says "software box not included." not going to say it's pirated, but a little too shady for me. i have a good feeling that I would end up with a home burned CD with Casio scrawled across it in magic marker, and on the CD would be some poor quality samples of another synth (if i'm lucky). thanks though.

the samples in the demos sound good. i can verify there are cz101 sounds in the mix, but i can't verify adam is not actually playing casios in the demos. i kept listening for maxed out polyphony on the sad cz101. adam has good feedback. however, i couldn't find the free vl tone samples he offers on the page

everyone does the fake box. it's standard practice now
