Komplete7 - Are they trying to upsell Kore packs?

I'm having a hard time understanding whether Komplete7 has a good set of Kore packs built in, OR whether it just has teasers that require you to go buy Kore packs to get the "real thing"...

Do people get what their business angle is?

More than enough in Komplete to make great music. Whatever is included in Komplete is a full NI instrument, not a crippled version. Will you still be tempted to get more? Of course. Otherwise you wouldn't be on KVR.

uh...no.

Everything in Komplete is the real deal, full, you can play with it now and forevermore version. That's why it's such a good deal.

The included Kore packs are not at all even the bulk of the content. Komplete 6 alone without any kore packs has plenty to keep busy with.

i was confused too.

i guess they are giving a small sample of some of their other korepacks to entice you to buy more. not a bad business angle. i don't think we are FORCED to buy anything, and certainly appreciate more sounds

When you say a "small sample", do you mean:
a) Incomplete Core packs?
b) Some Core packs, but they're complete?

Everything included is a FULL VERSION.

It does not include ALL of the Kore packs. They give you some full packs in Komplete...probably so that you will like them and consider purchasing other full packs.


Realistically there's only one included Kore pack anyway (Acoustic Refractions)

EDIT: But of course, there are a number of Kontakt instrument packs (Scarbee pianos, bass, Acoustik Piano packs), Reaktor packs (Spark, Finger, Prism), etc. included. All full versions!

They have 30 minute demo on most instruments for broke-ass losers, soundpacks for poor people and genre-specific wannabeez, individual instruments for laborers earning above
minimum wage, and Komplete, for da BOSS. Now thats market saturation

I think he's talking about "Komplete Player", which contains a Bits of various products in order to entice you to buy more... but this is a free product, so leave the burning torch and pitch fork at home on this one.

As for Komplete 7, everything offered is the full product.

Once you get into the SoundPack concept, it's pretty easy to fall into buying more of them, especially considering how cheap they are after coupons. Also, anyone with a decent collection of SoundPacks is probably going to consider getting Kore at some point.

Not really. That is up to you. K7 includes the finger and acoustic refractions which are full products (which would cost you 160 bucks on their own)

Side note: I think if you get bored enough to really feel the need to get other packs you are either suffering from GAS or really really good at getting to know your gear
