Hi guys

I've got Waldorf Largo on the way and definitely am planning on new sounds for it. What type of new sounds are the Largo users out there looking for? I've done a little homework and see that Rob Lee has already covered the techno/house end, there's a "space music" set by Sounds Devine, and another called "Minimal Electro".
I could definitely cover Dubstep and DnB myself, but was wondering what else might be of interest to you folks. Expect these to be full banks of 128 sounds or more.

PS...haven't forgotten about Ultra Analog and String Studio. Will finish those after SynthMaster 2.5 programming is done.

well if your doing a bank for Largo then 128 presets should be done around january

if your going for Ambient stuff then your in the right place for sure as the modulation matrix is great in Largo and the wavetable rocks for the type of stuff your gonna do.
im 80% through another bank,been at it since july but i'd like to hear what you can do with Largo

BTW

The Minimal set was programmed by DocT another Waldorf beta tester/programmer,he's usually around here on KVR.
You may want to look at the PPG V3 sometime in 2012 as it's got the lot

64 simple Eno-like, bless for ear sounds. Warm, soft plucked things, and huge pads.

And 64 soundscapes from Chernobyl. Aggro noise, disturbing and surprising back noise.

Hi, I tried the a demo a long while back, and as I recall, there were few sounds
to play chords or a melody, mostly show-off sounds instead of song sounds. Cobalt
comes to mind as a synth with song sounds instead of show-off sounds, to give you
a familiar frame of reference. Sounds that work both in legato and poly modes
are valuable to me. I'll bet you do some fine fast attack modulated sweeping leads with Largo!

@ Rob Lee: I'm hoping for an earlier release date, but more than likely you are correct (January)...gotta account for 3rd-Party projects that come in lol. Largo is definitely right up my alley.... was sold on it immediately after checking out several videos on YouTube and knew I HAD to get my hands on it.

Had a blast with the 2.V version a few years ago when I did a set for Pro-Sounds and would love to have a go at it again.

You'll love the filters on Largo Bryan,also there's very few banks out for it yet soooooo many users worldwide.
I can say that both Largo and Blofeld have been my best sellers and have surpassed Sylenth1 by a mile.
You could do never ending banks for Largo too because there's just tons of stuff in there and used in multi-mode then you have 4 layers and well you know the rest.

Largo is brilliant for Drums too..i posted some audio demos on here some place a while back showing what it can do...

Anyway have fun with it coz you'll be glued to it once it arrives..

Ok, I'm not a user (yet), but imo some rather classic and soft and interesting sounds are needed.

I think, Largo offers great possibilities, so it'd be totally sad to get just another soundbank with trance/electro/dance-presets, harshly overdriven leads and stuff like that.
Also I think, the sounds should definetly not be "phat" and definetly not maximum loud, and DEFINETLY not burrowed in reverb .. they should be interesting.

What I really generally miss in most soundbanks are:

1. Deep pads ("deep" meaning a lot of details and stuff going on .. sometmies rhythmic) .. also a lot with rather fast attacks.
Also some with windy/airy/choiry elements.
[Like some of the Wavestation sounds .. or other digital romplers/samplers of the old days]

2. Funky basses with a lot of different flavours .. some immitating acoustic basses, some sounding wooden, etc.
[Like MKS-80]

3. ePianos, bells and other "keys", which sound really alive.

4. Nice, warm plucks.

. In fact I daresay it was a very good, thorough and detailed request list. If someone is going to shell out money for soundbanks, they deserve a say in what goes in it

Nowadays, cause of Stalker (both game and film), I'm all about haunting empty urban environments and their atmosphere. I'm planning on some atmospheric madness with a Chernobyl feel in it, but let's keep that project for my next PC.

So I'd like to request 2 more presets. The first is a classic Geiger counter single shot, and the second is a patch with a animated, randomised Geiger noises. If you want to do more then feel free, but these 2 are a must for me

I suppose the perfect balance of Pulse/Noise can do it
