My personal favorite is the Acoustic Guitar Collection by Indiginus.
http://www.indiginus.com/agc.html Of course, you need Kontakt, but the library is huge, sounds great, and is very nicely priced. |

Another vote for Indignus. Great-sounding, and an amazing deal for $40. (But yeah, you need the full version of Kontakt for it).
If you don't have Kontakt, the sampled nylon guitars from H. E. Audio sound nice, each model comes with its own player and costs $100. (The steel string model costs $200): http://www.timesconcept.com/EN/heaudio.asp Of course, I suggest trying the demo first. |

If you're not in a hurry, you might also want to wait for Orange Tree Samples/Greg Schlaepfer to release his acoustic guitar library for Kontakt…

Do not overlook Mildon Strummer while it is on sale. |

There are quite a lot of good sounding software guitars around but definitely +10 on the 'Indignus'... one of the best sounding acoustics since 'Virtual Guitarist' IMHO extra kudos for the strumulator thingy. Most strumming simulations are really not that realistic but the Indignus methodology is very cool giving the user two methods for strumming.
The videos are pretty informative. My 2 cents... |

The best free guitars you can get, in my opinion, come with Independence Free. Very playable indeed.
I'd also give a thumbs up to the Lyrical Distortion ones - again, you need Kontakt though. |

I plan on getting EAG Steel Strings, but I was also wondering about Chris Hein Guitars. Anyone have experience with those? ---- "Be excellent to each other." Dax IX (Music) | Ambient Online Cubase 7, A Few VSTi, Win8 Pro 64, AMD FX-6100, 32GB RAM, 3.25TB total HDD, SSD |

Right now Pettinhouse wins BY MILES. Check the videos:
http://www.pettinhouse.com/html/acousticguitar_for_konatkt.h tml Orange Tree is very close to release its acoustic guitar, it will probably be at least as good as the Pettinhouse one. Some demos in this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=306647 |
