Changelog:

Version 1.5.2
-------------
* Fixed crashes when switching presets with various VSTi's (Aspect, Elek7ro, NoiseMaker, ...)

Version 1.5.1
-------------
* Fixed Audiounit version validation errors
* Fixed crash when deleting the last local preset
* Strikethrough text would not display properly on OSX
* Fixed Crashes when opening a new instance, after all previous instances had been closed

Version 1.5
-----------
* Major code rewrite, separating Zen into a core library (ZenCore) and the Zen Browser itself
* Added midi-controlled "virtual bank" slots, where presets from different vstis can be stored
* Replaced tooltips with a contextual help box
* Added support for Zen-aware plugins, including assets management
* Added 'hidden' flag to permanently hide presets from search results
* Fixed various UI refresh issues
* Fixed crashes when duplicating instances in Ableton Live
* Fixed button for creating own tags on OSX
* Invalid designer keys are now rejected immediately.
* Optimized dynamic memory allocations
* Changes for 64bits compatibility

I'll write a little explanation about the virtual banks later on today - it's very easy to use, just drag/drop your presets into the 1..32 banks slots.

It says I will need a new designer key - is that in my profile now?

Post

Yes, I just changed it.

Congratulations on the new version.

Just one question, is there any possibility of adding own presets? For example, I've thousands of presets for Synth1, can I add these manually to Zen, so that I can use the search option?

Yes you can add your own presets, either by:
- dropping a bunch of fxp files in the search list
- using the Import or Autoimport function

However these presets will stay local, unless you have a designer key. Designer keys are free, you just have to agree not to use them to upload copyrighted material.

Thanks for the answer, that worked. How do I close the plugin window once I open it by dbl clicking?

ok, I see, there's a problem with the audiounit. Damn. I hate audiounits. Can you use the vst meanwhile ? I'll upload a fix ASAP.

1.5 is unusable for me; Won't load at all - zen doesn't show up in reaper/cantabile anymore [tried installing the update from 1.4 while I had zen loaded :) woops, during install it asked me to retry which I did, but after numerous restarts and re-installs/uninstalls it does not show up - windows vista]

Post

working on a fix guys... it's just amazing it loads up fine here.

The Windows Download and the "About" box call this the 1.05 version.

Just a typo, I guess?

Post

Yeah I'll fix that too - next version will say 1.5.1 - hopefully later today, as it seems that I've just fixed the issues with Cantabile and AudioUnit validation :)

Post

ok guys - 1.5.1 is ready. Sorry for this mess, I hope this version works better :)
