This should be interesting.
There doesn't appear to be a decent working relationship between Muse & Spectrasonics; both say delays are the others responsibility...
I've communicated with both parties ever since Omnisphere 1.4 was released ~ MANY months ago.
Perhaps we'll all be impressed with a 1.5 download from Muse, in the next month or so; because they anticipated this latest upgrade and really want to satisfy those customers that use this most awesome plug-in, but unfortunately I doubt it.
Talk to the techs ~ keep us posted!

We at Muse are eagerly awaiting the release of Omni 1.5
Once it is released we will get our hands on it and see how it installs and working on the Receptor. Muse has a great relationship with Spectrasonics along with the rest of the developers that have plugins that run on the Receptor. As with most companies we have a symbiotic relationship. We do not blame any delays on Spectrasonics. If there is a delay it is on us. Spectrasonics have done their part creating the update, it is our job to make it run. Thankfully the Spectrasonics team does take time out of their busy schedule to help out our development team.
How long will it take for this update to work on the Receptor? We are not sure until we take a look at the update and work with the Spectrasonics team to help us out. I know that Omnisphere updates do take time for us to finish. Since they take some re-engineering we have to pull our team away from other plugin updates, Muse Box, and other new releases to work on Omnisphere. Its a delicate dance, to balance all the progress in the world of software instruments, but we are good at it, and are progressing to get the plugins people want to work on the Receptor.
Thanks,
Gary

Sorry - I did get this to work again.
I was able to drop in the Omnisphere.dll (for Omnisphere 1.5), and run the authorizer.
I was able to get 1.5 working on a Receptor 2. It still needs to be tweaked a bit more by Muse/Spectrasonics.
The good news is that the engine works great on Receptor 2. The ambient CPU levels are quite low. The GUI needs to be tweaked, as there are a number of flashing panels.
I originally reported this, and then removed my post above, because Receptor's plugin scan later rejected Omnisphere. Since then, I was able to reinstall my previous version (1.2) on Receptor, and drop-in 1.5 again. Not sure how long this will last again.
In any case, this was meant to be a proof of concept about how well Omni 1.5 runs on Receptor. This will be great once Muse/Spectra adjusts the thread priorities on the GUI appropriately. The new presets are pretty cool too - they sound wonderful on a Receptor.

Yes, any update on the update?
To fix the flashing, can it be done by Muse or does it need an update from Spectrasonics?

Yeah ~ it's been about a year, give or take a couple of months, since the update came out.
It's such an awesome synth!
I really wish someone would 'step up' and dedicate some time & energy to a fix for this.
I've heard Muse has someone working on it, but before you know it - Omnisphere 2 will be out, and then we'll be way behind again.
