Inspired by the Steve Reich-festival here in Stockholm last month I have been playing around with some vaguely Reich-ian ideas in order to understand them better (as a theory-dummy, learning by doing is my only option). A self-educational piece, then, but I felt it gained some independent value as work progressed, and decided to share it.

Interesting piece apan! I love the variations in the first section where it sounds as if Augustus Loop is processing the piano.

Cheers, guys, thanks for listening. Like the bible-tent reference, made me think of this classic by another sometime "minimalist".

Inspired by the fact that someone else found this worth a listen I am considering a second, slow part

Best,

Erik

Nicely done ! Definitely a la Piano Phase, but a good original "homage" to the style/technique.

Thanks for the music, I hope you'll post more of your stuff.
