I'm having synth overload! Gladiator 2 is nice too! Electrax has a modulation at audio rate, G2 not. It's very important now. |

Ok, so I see that there are features add with some expansions of gladiator. Which one should I get? I see most include the trancegate and reverb ultra mode...
the latest one is state of the art correct? |

I have both Gladiator and ElectraX and, despite the advanced features in the latter, my initial reaction to ElectraX is that I like Gladiator a little better. Part of that is probably due to the fact that I've been using Gladiator for years, but it also seems to have more of a unique character. Regardless, the two synths are different enough, as is Zebra (which I also own), that I think you'll be very happy (and overwhelmed for a while) with your purchases. |

the latest one is state of the art correct? This is the thing that gets my knickers in a twist about Tone2: other companies would release these features as free updates, thus rewarding their customers while adding value for potential buyers. Bundling them with preset expansions is a clever marketing move, but one that smells a little fishy. Which is one of the main reasons why my "buy of the month to becalm my gear lust", which oscillated between Largo and ElectraX, went (happily) to Waldorf. Enjoy your synths, though. It'll take you years to plumb their depths. |

Hey I was in the same situation and was wondering where members of the forum would weigh in the synths uses for Electro house and Dubstep? I've tried the demos but it's a real ball buster they are only 10 minutes because just when I get a sound I like demo is over! |

Hmm just played with the Electrax demo and must say I'm not super impressed with it. Granted the demo is super limited but I took the time to turn one of the patches into an init and play around with it. Massive and Electrax seem in the same ball park but Gladiator seems to offer a whole dimension of synthesis. |
