Thanks I hope you can get round on the thursdays, I'll get november and december dates sorted asap but they will be thursdays I'm afraid.
The october bITjAM is on the 11th and is a charity night, not much in the way of improv but we have a couple or 3 bands playing raising money for a special needs school we recently did a music workshop at, the money will buy musical instruments, entrance is a donation.
Speak to you soon...

We have 2 dates prebooked in the Midlands to showcase experiemntal music.
We are still open for acts to appear and would like to hear from people interested in performing.
We support new acts and projects especially.
The evenings are non-profit but very enjoyable. The venue we use has the best sound system in the area and years of live music experience.
There are a number of other local live electronic music events (such as the excellent LOAD), however we aim to push the experimental edge away from traditional DJ oriented music using a vast range of instrumentation.
Anybody interested give pm me for details.

Don't think they have done any for a couple of years.azzronulation wrote:This sounds really good and I'd love to be a part of it!
Shame as it looked like fun.
If your around Birmingham then take a look at www.supersonicfestival.com as they do similar things, workshops and arty stuff etc. They (Capsule, the promoters) are looking for electronica acts at the moment, so if you like the live jam thing then maybe take a look.
No, that Glitch is meant to be there.....

I know this thread is old but, Bitjam is still going strong folks. I'm not involved all that much myself anymore but I do head down to the occasional jam-night.

Jam nights are still on. First thursday of every month at The Rigger, Stoke on Trent/Newcastle-under-lyme. http://www.therigger.co.uk/
I believe they've also got some arts funding/grant for their Geeklab series - audio/tech workshops being put on at events and arts centres around Stoke/The Midlands.
