Cal, who developed the yoshimi branch, passed away on the 2nd July after several years battling with cancer. I always admired his courage and tenacity and will miss him greatly as a friend as well as a very creative developer.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

I sent him an email a couple weeks ago, and it bounced, now I know why. 
His work on Yoshimi has made the zynaddsubfx sound much more useable in the linux community. I hope people take advantage of his efforts, and produce great music
with Yoshimi.
