Hi.
I use Reaktor heavily and am thinking about getting a Muse Receptor for low latency and live performance. Is there a video anywhere showing someone playing sounds, editing structures and panels, and saving snapshots and ensembles with Reaktor on the Receptor without a normal computer connected? How hard is it to transfer Reaktor ensembles, instruments, or macros to the Receptor if you have been editing them with Reaktor on another computer? Can you do this with just a flash drive? If a new version comes out (like 5.6 just did), do I have to wait for Muse to Receptor-fy it before I can install it on a Receptor?

Let me know, thanks.

I'm using Reaktor 5 on an old Receptor 1 as a live fx tool.

The Receptor is a live machine. If you want to load your presets and ensembles in a Live situation, it could be the right piece of hardware for you.

I don't use it as a studio tool, because the fans are to loud. I guess a PC / MAC would be a better choice.

- Very easy. Connecting via TCP/IP, communication via Remote control software and drag & drop. Done.

- Maybe, never try it out.

- That is a big problem. With Receptor 1 I can only use Reaktor 5.1.3 newer versions doesn't work. And, YES you have to wait for Muse.

It looks like if I have a Receptor 2 or later, I can use the Direct Install method to install Komplete 5 onto it since I already have Komplete 5. As part of this I could install Reaktor 5.6 since I have the update files for that. Is that correct?

The 'Direct Install' is the only way to install NI Products on the Receptor. You need a internet connection and a connection via TCP/IP from your PC/MAC to the Receptor.
You have to be a registered user of a Receptor (via plugrama.com) to use the 'Direct Install'.
You find the 'Direct Install' button in the Receptor Remote Control software.
It works only if your Receptor is connected.

I can't answer your question about Reaktor 5.6, because I use the older Receptor 1 (Rev. B) and the older OS 1.7.

Maybe someone else with a newer OS (1.8.) could look ,via 'Direct Install' on the plugorama database ,which version the latest is for the NI Reaktor.

I hope this was helpful.

Cheers,
