Some times we get pissed off and think out loud because we let ourself get to ramped up on things that don't matter much in life and we can not control. Just make music and be happy.

Very good of you to keep up the site despite it not being useful to yourself. Not many would be so noble. Great to hear you also have found a setup that has you covered Peace and all the best Dean ---- Shit For Blood, Piss For Brains |

It's been a week or 2 and the SawStudio Forum is down, I emailed Bob and he said it will stay down until he can figure out how to make it more civil. Anyway to answer... "For Me" Reason's mixer is amazing even with its lack of sub grouping , which will be updated soon I am sure. I love Reason and for me all it needs now that ReRack came out is audio quantizing and it will be in the ring with the big boys. It's dead easy to use and the most stable DAW I have ever used and that mixer. I mainly moved from SS because of it's lack of midi. ---- Pro Tools 9 Reason 6 Last edited by microstudio on Sat Jan 19, 2013 3:14 pm; edited 3 times in total |

Attempting to "defend" the subject of said bashing is futile, only gives them a taste of blood. This. ---- 'I don't know what makes XT2 sound at least 15% better than XT1, but it simply does.' - DJT http://www.myspace.com/rustymagicmusic |

Weellll....If one has problems with something I would like to hear about it before I buy it and join the army of those with issues. Then again...in the war between the fanboi vs the basher it would be nice if there is a little bit of space for those of us who like what they see but would like some improvements...n'est pas? ---- Barry The man who survived mustard gas and pepper spray is now a seasoned veteran http://www.ambientonline.org/ |

I still think the price is to laugh at. I've been with Cubase for near to ten years. I think I have around 800 dollars in it. But SAW is kind of unique to the market, 'boutique' and not geared to sell too many copies, I get that. I think the whole thing is charming actually. |

Wait until Bitwig Studio gets released if you wanna see some real bashing. Anyway, supply and demand. If nobody was buying and using SAW it wouldn't exist. Same thing goes for "chubby porn". |

from what i remember the original company busted then saw studio was born.
I was a user of saw pro for many years when i had audio only remixing projects. I always hated the interface but somehow got used to it. back then i was on like a PIII-600 and it was it's assembly code efficiency and the amount of plugins i could run that got me to use it. ---- Please call me Theo. |

The problems are this: Bob got rid of staff in the helping/making of Sawstudio/plugins (I asked him why no thoughts of making own VSTi since he plays keys), why no visual interface on EQ for curves whatnot, why no nice and easy Library view although there is one it ain't like other DAWs, why components/plugins are not added in by now to reflect the price, why we cannot integrate SAC stellar processing of effects into SAW and all I get are runaround answers.
Bob really doesn't care evidently if he sells to the masses because he doesn't have the staff to process the needs/requests. He uses it and makes money in Vegas and that is where he gets most of his monies from, not the software. MidiWorshop has been in infancy until he dies. Then where will it be? I have worked with SAW with my buddy' studio since it has been in existence. The people who used Saw prior were the ones to set off the light bulbs in his head and now he ignores the fact that things should change. Pricing structure, new plugins (hell he can't even change the reverberator plugin due to the guy who made it no longer works there). In defense, it does work great. The software by StudioOne 2, Reaper and Mixcraft were tried by myself and I didn't see the full comparison but they were close which I keep eye out for new cheaper software to use. I use Amplitube3 and like it and hope it only gets better. I just purchased new dual processor workstation to make things better for myself. Now I need Bob to do his part or it will be sayonara. |

Why is SawStudio so expensive, $2,500.00 for the full version, is pretty high Does it come with any dedicated hardware maybe? The GUI looks to be 10 years old, tried to get a better view of that in the brochure, but the images there were pixelated like they were print-screens from a C64... |
