Hi there !

I'm in love with this song :
http://soundcloud.com/iknowbitfunk/shes ... iginal-mix

And i really like the noisy, filtered lead at 1:05. Have you any ideas to reproduce this synth ? I'm pretty sure he used highpassed delay and chorus, but can't find how he created this specific timbre of sound (multiple osc, noise).
I'm using NI Massive.

Hope you will appreciate this song too .

Thanks !

Best regards

I'm having a hard time hearing it. The heavy-phaser chord synth laid on top of it is pretty distracting, along with the relatively low mix and all the rest going on make it hard to separate from the rest.

But, lacking any form of certainty of what discreet part I'm hearing, I'd guess two detuned saws put through a fast-oscillating chorus. The fast tuning oscillation from the chorus could help give it that messy, shakey, noisy sound. But that's a shot in the dark, because I just cant hear it too good.

Thanks a lot. I'll try this way.

I'll post the Massive patch if i find how to reproduce it.

That's a really hard work ...

I'm wondering if he used something like a light vocoder on the lead.

You're talking about the lead synth? I forget exactly what it was. I don't recall it being particularly special. The hiss was just white noise on the patch I think.

It definitely had some modulation fx and then the stereo delay. I may have also put it through a guitar amp sim with the dry signal also coming through. which is something I was doing a lot back then.
