This took 12 hours to record in December 2009. The 2011 edit/remix/master took 12 hours, and was quite challenging. After my previous computer died, I had to dump the NI Kore Sky Kit and replace it with Superior Drummer 2.0. It took quite a while to build/tweak the kit used here. The synth featured here is GTG 44 S. There are 8 instances, and 7 of them use the supplied presets. I also wheeled out my bass guitar. Maybe a hint of '80s Tangerine Dream or Camel influence on this one. The remix was quite a struggle.

Oh man, that's a great track Tim! I'm a sucker for for those epic beats, and I think you did a really good job with SD2. The only thing I heard in my head that wasn't there... lead guitar. I heard some perfect places for soloing. Anyway,

Thanks for the kind comments, Matt. It took hours to put that kit together, but I got there in the end. I was toying with the BFD Eco special offer, but I think that I'll probably stick with SD 2.0 now I'm getting used to it. The groove feature in there was used for the hats at the end of each section. About the guitar, I hear ya, but you wouldn't want to hear me! At least not on lead. I would think that Andy Latimer's style (Camel) would possibly fit this one.polyslax wrote:Oh man, that's a great track Tim! cool arrangement, and some great sounds, kind of clear and clean.
And I like the beats...sometimes like say 3-4.30 an occasional kick snare crash might work ??
good one, liked this

Thanks for listening and commenting fatc, Glad you liked it. GTG 44 S makes some great sounds. I played with the groove feature in SD2, but decided to leave it alone, apart from the hats.fateamenabletochange wrote:cool arrangement, and some great sounds, kind of clear and clean.

Nice. I preferred the parts without drums, but that's not to say there's anything wrong with the drums (I did quite like what I think was a splash cymbal). Anyway, I enjoyed it. Thank you.

Lovely sounds on here, good, powerful drums (channelling John Bonham
) and a nice solid melodic development. Great mix too - everything in its place. Nice one Tim

Thanks again for listening and commenting, Mike. I was thinking about the BFD Eco special offer, but after spending a few hours with SD2, realized that I probably didn't need it. I deliberately kept the drum patterns simple on here. It gave the track a "heavier" feel.mikusan wrote:Lovely sounds on here, good, powerful drums (channelling John Bonham) and a nice solid melodic development. Great mix too - everything in its place.
