Howdy to all, I'm elated to see this site so many years later. Much, much catching up to do.....
I find in so many soundsets that come with vsti's a massive amount of presets for which I have no use. I'd really like to start with a bare-bones soundset (bank?)..... or to be able to just delete at will all the presets I don't want. NOW..... I am most interested in being able to do this with Moog Modular V, for example. Having had a look at its dir structure, though, I don't anticipate it to be possible. I know I could save one-by-one as .amb files, but I'm hoping for a more spontaneous approach.

The directories full of fxp's of other vsti's is much more manageable, but is there a tool around that can help manage so building up banks for live performance is easier?

Anybody got any ideas how to start with a clean slate and build from there without causing a bigger mess or even preventing startup of a vsti that relies on the presence of known presets?

thanks in advance....

I feel ya. It pains me when VST has internal presets and especially when the init patch isn't a blank one. I think in most cases its best not to fight against typical VST behavior like this but to make the most of it by keeping a organized folder of your own presets and ignore the rest.

Would Big Tick's Zen work for you? I haven't used it, but I thought of it when I read your post.
