computer to mixer through built-in 3,5 mm jack

Hi!

I'd like to connect my computer to a mixer thhrough its 3,5 stereo out but I'm quite a noob when it comes to different audio cables and connections.

I know that the computer out is stereo but is it balanced too? If yes, a 3,5 stereo jack to 2x 6,3 TS or 2x RCA won't be good because they turn the connection unbalanced, right?
So I need to go for 3,5 stereo to 2x 6,3 TRS?

No

A TRS connector is either stereo OR balanced mono.

A stereo 3.5mm jack using a TRS jack is not balanced.

A TRS connector has 3 connectors, on stereo 1 is used for ground, one is used for Left channel audio and one is used for Right Channel audio.

When used for a balance mono signal, 1 is used for ground, 1 is for signal and 1 is for inversed signal. To have a balanced stereo signal, you would need at least 5 connectors in the plug.

You can find 3.5 stereo to 2x TRS (unbalanced of course):

I would say 3.5 to 2x RCA is more common, tho. And if the mixer only has TRS inputs you can easily find female RCA to male TRS adapters to plug the 2x male RCA in.

Those are actually 3.5 TRS to 2 x 6.3 TS
