I'm looking for a good spectrum analyzer plugin. I've tried several but didn't like any of them. They all seem to either have badly designed interfaces or lack useful features. Right now I'm using Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst and Voxengo's Span, cause at least they're free.
I'd be happy to hear suggestions!
So far I've tried these:
MAnalyzer
Fre(a)koscope
NuGen Visualizer
apQualizr
MultilnspectorFree
Hotto Engineering Spectrum Analyzer & Oscilloscope

Doubt u'll find anything better than SPAN tbh. Its pretty darn perfect.
Seems all analyzers have a tendency of changing the harmonic view of things, even if its just receiving a static retrigged kickdrum. SPAN doesnt, and thats how its spose to be imo.

Perhaps you're right.
The one in Ozone is OK. If only it was available on its own without that whole unwieldy Ozone package.

Thanks, but it's got to be a plugin so I use it while making adjustments.

yeh, you can do that...you just run it at the same time as your DAW...it has options for routing...
but it is easier just using a plug-in instead...

Perhaps I should try them. Though I have to admit I don't like the idea of paying for + having to look at something as ugly as those Blue Cat plugins.cryophonik wrote:I like Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst Pro and Multi pack.

Ah, I see. But then - I take it - it only works on the main output. Not on each channel.bezusheist wrote:yeh, you can do that...you just run it at the same time as your DAW...it has options for routing...

Personally, I like the look of them, but they are skinnable and there are a few user-made skins on their Download page.thomaskyhn wrote:Perhaps I should try them.
