ARRGHHH
Where do I start? First of all, this has got to be hands-down the most obtuse looking GUI on earth, competing with babylogic for top honors.
Second of all, I can't get a SINGLE SOUND out of this thing. I have tried every button there is, and it doesn't do anything. Third of all, it doesnt work on audio input, it works on audio FILES. No problem, except it says 'samplerate mistmatch' when clearly it isn't.
Haallp! I got this in audiomidi no brainer and i'll end up with my brains fried if I continue using this.

I disagree on every point.
Interface is fine for me, where the hell the babya comparison came from Ill never now!
I was getting harmonies within 5 minutes of reading the manual.
Maybe try a bit harder to understand the manual.
Ill give you a hint....load an audio file.
I have a short fuse for people that dont bother trying, sorry!

It's actually a great, even obvious, interface once you get it.
But it's one of those instances where you really benefit from reading the manual at least once.

Today I finally got it to make a sound after loading it as a track insert and not a clip insert.
Also, it changes the pitch of the original file. i.e. no way to hear the original audio. The manual is very cryptic. Sorry, I have various plugins and none of them can match the cryptic UI that these developers have managed to pull. I have a low tolerance for plugins that are unusable due to their GUIs, that too nowadays where good GUI designs are well known and established.
It must be a german thing or something.

Maybe it helps to think of it not as an fx but more as a strange kind of synth that you load with waves. As long as those waves starts in the beginning of the song things sync up nicely. I think one of the parts it "creates" default is more or less a copy of the original. But I keep the original as well on another track...
To me Vielklang was worth the effort, and I understood quite fast why they did things as they did.
It's different, but I get why it is so it doesn't bother me...
Actually - I even like how it works now.

Hmph..fine, I'll spend today evening learning this. Why can't everyone design their GUIs like spectrasonics? You can be dumb as a doorbell and master their software in an hour or two.

I actually thought it was pretty straight forward to use when I first got it. (although don't ask me now because its a while from I've had to use it) And I also found the GUI to be pretty intuitive for the task at hand.
Good to see they're still dedicated to making it even better. Hope the upgrade won't be too expensive.

I'm not 100% sure but this was listed as one of the things listed that I am getting with my new machine...fingers crossed because the invoice only lists two things from the package that comes with the computer but it lists them as installed, the page lists it with this.

Let me point out that I got this because soundonsound had written a glowing review of the quality of the harmonies and it sort of makes sense because they're doing non-realtime harmonization (which I'd bet is the best you can get).
I also have a TC Helicon VoiceWorks which does decent harmonization but I haven't configured it as an insert yet (I need to get an ADAT box to do that). Very fun to play around with though. Can't say that about this vst.
Tonight I shall master this software.
And if it really works well, I might just sell my TC Helicon.

I hope they figure out host timeline synchronization instead of having to manually trigger the midi note or set the sync. I'd say it's good but not worthy of glowing review on sound quality alone. I doubt it would fool anyone really listening if not in a mix. When using it in more "sparse" circimstances I add in several recorded voices as well, that works wonders.
