Is this a one-off or do they plan on retailing these?

Interesting in seeing how they implement the many 'layers' in DIVA.

Sweet! I'm really curious to see how he handles the Diva one.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

The Diva one is actually quite easy once you concentrate on a single layout. There's a lot of overlap in the parameters and actually only the oscillators have non-corresponsing parameters.

Mario uses colour coding to explain which parameter corresponds to which model.

I'm also contemplating to whip up a gui skin that matches his controller with the placement and colours of the controls. That should make working with it a blissful experience :)

As I wrote elsewhere, control surfaces are a big topic for us in March (until Musikmesse). We have a spiffy commercial project cooking with a manufacturer, and we'll accommodate Automap, Mario's controllers, our own example-controller (that might be for sale later) and we're doing a sample implementation on Arduino for ACE/Bazille/Berlin Modular cables and a set of interesting pots and encoders.

Mario's ACE-controller has spare spaces/holes for the patch cables, and we hope to supply him with a solution on Arduino so he can work the connections without a mouse or a touch screen.

Suddenly, a return to hardware is sounding more palatable!

Not sure how would physical patch cables on such a controller work with program changes within the plugin, Urs? Wouldn't that be confusing - switching to a program that has different wiring than the current physical wiring on the controller?

Worked on the Korg MS20
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Worked, ok. But I'd still find it confusing as hell.

As far as I know he only makes them for himself......

Right ! I think, that only make sense, if you create a sound/patch from the scratch with an Init Patch without patch chords.

The same with all other parameters. If you switch to another program you have to correct all other knobs too, to have the same position like in the VST Instrument, in any VST Instrument.
