Guitar throw will be Olympic this summer in London.
I'm sure that Hink would beat this guy with a Les Paul no problem.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Not quite throwing your guitar, but my buddy had a similar misfortune with an acoustic guitar. He was traveling and staying at a hotel. Upon leaving he had all his luggage etc, including his cat in cat carrier. It was all behind his SUV he was loading up. He thought he had loaded it all up, and then heard his cat meowing in the front seat so he got in his car and started it. He was sure he had everything loaded in and began to back out of the parking space, until he heard "crunch...". It was his only guitar at the time, now in a couple pieces under his car. Only some cheap sub $100 Yamaha guitar, but he didn't have money at the time to spend on a new guitar. So he was guitar less for a year or more. Better that than forgetting the cat was not loaded up.

Now if the guitar had gone round in a circle and come back to him.
