Thank you Cinesamples and Greg for all your hard work (and Sequent for the update news).

This is great news (and I've just bought it :) ).

And for anyone who hasn't yet checked it out on Cinesamples' website, here is the main current Youtube video by them for the Piano in Blue library:

It's brilliant!

I know Piano in Blue has been recently released, but does Cinesamples have educational discounts for it?

Do they support kontakt 5 yet?

So the introductory price is the best I will get? Too bad; this will have to wait. (I'm a High School hobbyist, so I don't have a career based on these products and can't afford to spend in excess.)

Works fine in both Kontakt 4 and Kontakt 5. Honestly, this is one of the best piano libraries I've ever played! I'm really happy to have been involved with the project. :)

To my ear - and the style of Piano I like the most - that is hands down the best I've ever heard. Very nice !

Well, I bought one of their other libraries and had a multitude of issues, they said they do not "officially" support K5. I'm not interested in something that doesn't work "officially".

I keep old versions of Kontakt installed for compatibility with old songs and - if necessary - old instruments. If you have a K4 license you could install that in parallel to K5.

An educational discount on the normal (non-intro) price is probably a smart idea.

Still, good things come to those who wait - and this is very good!

Lovely piano. Congrats to Greg and whoever engineered the recording. The voicing of the mid to lower range is not really like anything else I've tried - warm and not strident at all. Great for ballads and acoustic jazz.

Yes, I'm hoping for an educational price drop to $80-$85 if this is fair...
Actually, since the normal price is $129, I doubt I'd be so lucky. I really need a good solid piano since right now the only ones in my possession are the three Komplete pianos, which are decent, but lacking in some departments.

A "budget version" for the free Kontakt player would be appreciated :)

I don't think it could work in Kontakt player unless Cinesamples got a license from Native Instruments.

Just got it :P Downloading..... I'll let you know

For how long will the preliminary discount exist? I'm trying to decide between this beautifully sounding piano and the Vienna Flute. (I only have the Komplete instruments, but the flute is limited, and the pianos, according to some people, sound rather fake.)
