Ah crap, forgot to mention Cytomic in my previous personal top list. Need to edit that in, and it deserves a special mention too, as The Glue sits in pretty much every project I work on :)

Other

IK Multimedia, Valhalla DSP, SoundToys.

From a guitar player mostly, these three usually spark my creativity the most and I come up with a new idea/song or way of thinking/methodology when working with guitar and other sources.

Meldaproduction

Creative and Mastering bundle (or the whole shabam: MTotal bundle): The multiband plugins.

Sound great, can be sterile or musical
Multiband everything
Modulation galore
Resizeable (and semi customizable) GUI's
CPU efficient
Many feature requests implemented, sometimes on the same day they are made
Introductory discount for new plugins (I bought a few this way before caving in for the Total bundle).
Any new plugin released under one of the bundles is always free to owners of those bundles. Just got a new free plugin yesterday (Mautovolume).
Friendly and personable presence on KVR
Very smart developer (genius?)

These plugins are powerful. Very powerful. So many controllable parameters. The modulation parameters are out this world. The sounds these plugins make are delicious to the ears.

The Creative bundle really shines. The dynamic plugins are great but I have the most fun using the creative plugins.
Play it by ear

Ha, strange list there, which I guess is why most are under "Other". Spectrasonics, u-he, Camel Audio. None of which are mentioned...

Great stable products, excellent customer service (except if you want to buy spectrasonics second hand but otherwise good). NI are up there too for me but I'm pretty sour about them dropping Kore as well.

He's only just begun the 303 sampling, he's also making patches and sampling his other hardware, he's a DJ, Musician/Producer and he's also taught sound design, he's not making much money from releases anymore, only live gigs and djing, hence he wants to get into the software./samples side as he's thinking about making sounds and tools for us that are less fortunate to own the originals. That's why I keep harping on about buying Alchemy to him, after hearing and buying Himalaya - Vintage for Alchemy it blew me away and shows what can be done with classic analogue synths/samples in that synth. Maybe it could be a good synth for making acid lines, I'm not sure - but I think it's possible...maybe

simple serial or keyfile
responsive, helpfull, easy to obtain and polite support
good email contact about updates available
solid, stable and quality software with every release
a good team of beta testers who use every host available
a company forum
affordable/worth the money, i.e. not overpriced
resale allowed at least once before NFR is ok
good 1 month demo like alchemy
+1

except perhaps a few details related to unrealistic wishes of some excited minds i  ...i totally agree !

Native Instruments.
Using their stuff all the time...
Apart from my DAW and a plugin from others here and there, NI Komplete is pretty much all I need.

By the way, also feel free to drop your best track here, it'd be good to hear something new.
not sure if it's our best track, but it's new and gets good reviews and I'm always happy to spam the video link if somebody aks for it .g.

Nice, a pretty German electro sound with dark guitars, a killer combo!
What do you find you use most in NI Komplete? I tend to use Prism and Massive alot.. the only problem with Komplete is that its pretty much limitless and its hard to know when to stop!
I go through phases regarding Komplete.
I remember a time I used Kontakt for anything and then a time I used Reaktor for anything. I also had a hefty Battery pahse, before I got Komplete.
Right now, it's Guitar Rig and the three synths (Massive/Absynth/FM8).

Like you say, it's pretty much limitless .g.

why? because they sound great.

check my sig to hear the results

Nice one! I'll take a listen! What's your waves preference by the way?
i'm rather partial to the kramer tapes tubes and transistors bundle.
i just got the h-eq which is rather good as well.

neil.

Acustica-Audio Nebula3 has emptied out my entire effects vst folder of everything but PSP Vintage Warmer.

Audio Damage - unusual and useful manglers and modifiers
Melda Productions - not the cheapest but incredibly flexible and powerful

Those are the only "odd men out" that are my faves. Between those and my Voxengo plugins, really, I don't lack for anything! Except spare cash.. :help:
Bandcamp: https://suitcaseoflizards.bandcamp.com/
Linux Mint, Waveform 13 Pro, U-He synths, Audio Damage effects,.

What a ridiculous list.... so many missing and some bizarre choices on it...

UAD
Uhe
Waldorf
SSL
Voxengo
etc
etc

Although saying that all things considered Native Instruments are the best! Reaktor, Massive, Guitar Rig, Absynth, FM8....

So is glue your go-to compressor? Is it based on a SSL desk compressor?

Cool, think thats the first shout for Meldaproduction. I've never used their gear but after this glowing praise I'll have to check em out. Nice one
