Yep, that was an interesting article indeed! And it shows again that mastering engineers have the demand for a plugin that encodes and decodes in real-time. Shouldn't be too difficult, right??

Maybe I missed something, but I couldn't find anything that even a bedroom ME wouldn't already know. Don't clip the tracks? Don't reduce the bit depth/SR before submitting?
Looks like a PR stunt.
And suggesting that high bitrate AAC/MP3 alters the sound so much that you'd have to "compensate" for this with special sounding masters is just silly, IMO.
Audiophiles who are concerned so much about sound wouldn't buy music in lossy formats anyway.
