Does it work with Kontakt 3?

Also, no, this library requires Kontakt 4.2 or later, according to the web site.

What's the memory hit like in Kontakt? I see the sample size is 10 gigs.

Although it might vary for other machines a bit, for me one mic position uses 154 MB of RAM, and all three positions use 466 MB.

That isn't really so bad. If you have a fast hd, you might be able to lower your ram usage (if you need to) by adjusting your Kontakt settings. See Alex Pfeffer's recent post on YouTube:

Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

"Budget version" and "free Kontakt player" are mutually exclusive terms because of the stiff license fees charged by Native Instruments. Won't happen, unless NI change their ways and the moon becomes a cheese. :hihi:

Here I am :) I started playing around a bit then as I found the good dynamic response I got inspired and decided to switch on the camera and play an entire song.. The day after I liked the result and wrapped a rhythm section around the piano even if the timing was a little too free :)
Anyway this is the result:

I also decided to put it on soundcloud for downloading but the quality is too low to my liking :( Anyway is there.
