Woot ???? you have one ??? ok .. you jus HAVE TO do the Kontakt instrument out of it asap ! heh !

this was one of my first as well and i miss the glassy bell-like sounds and textures very much ... and that wonderful and versatile arpeggiator too..

almost additive synthesizer and here's some info on it (for those who dont know of it):

Will dig it out of it's tomb later and see if it is still alive-Sure it will be.The old Casio things are built like a tank.
Might be an interesting experiment.

If you manage to do the Casio you can count me in (well, I bought everything else), but I did own one once and wrote tons of songs on it.

Any chance of a Teisco SX-240? HiHi Very Happy

I did dig the 1000p out of it's tomb and it is not working properly-Real shame that is it broken.I found a Casio PT-50 in there aswell without it's little ROM block thing.
Will have to see if I can get the old beast fixed by James at Synth repair.I need to speak to him about a couple of synths that need servicing.

Hmmm,the Teisco sx-240.
Did not realise they made one.I knew of the Kawai sx-240 version.
Don't know if there are any differences in each version.
I don't own a sx-240.Looks like a good synth.

Did you get the new presets ok?
Cheers,
Steve

Shame that Crying or Very sad

The Teisco was just one of the many synths that have passed through my hands over the past 30 years or so. Also, a bit of an oddball synth, which you seem to specialise in at SynthMagic towers Very Happy It was actually a band member's main synth (around 1985/6) but he left it with me and it got stolen along with my SH101 and an Akai AX73. Think it was much the same as the kawai, just with a different name. Stick it in mono mode and stack the oscillators for big, fat leads. Nice

I got the new presets, cheers Very Happy But haven't had time to try any yet. Real life getting in the way of me music lately. Very Happy

I'm going to get it looked at by a synth tech.
It's weird. It has been in a cupboard for years and I have never really thought about it-Now it is out of it's tomb and it is broken I kinda feel sorry for it(weird I know) so I'm going to get it fixed.
I will probably be blown away by it when I hear it working again.
Steve
