Sounds like a pretty decent mainstream pop song, but the trouble is there is a lot of mainstream pop out there. I have no idea how you can make your song stand out from the crowd.
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

That's the problem. I'm glad that my mixing skills are now good enough to be decent as a mainstream pop song, but the genres I like to produce (pop and dubstep) are becoming more and more homogeneous. And I picked up dubstep about a year and a half ago, right before it exploded into the mainstream, so I don't even get to be a pretentious hipster about it.

I tried combining movie-score-like orchestral music with dubstep, but that was only partially successful. I'm learning guitar, but pop/rock has been done to death, even if it is getting revamped a bit by younger bands (like Foster the People, Young the Giant, and Fun). So I guess the question is, where do I go from here?
