DP for both Mac and PC is great news !
But... I wonder if MOTU can handle the pressure of maintaining DP for both platforms, DP is still 32-bit for Mac, given their slow pace of development (on just one platfor (MAC), I'm a bit skeptical about their support quality, and pace of updates, once they have to deal with keeping up with both Mac and PC platforms.
I used DP4 a long time ago, it was one of the buggiest DAWs on the planet. Gave up on MOTU since then, I'm currently a very happy Cubase 6 user.

The news is exciting. The reality may well be something else entirely. (I agree with Muziksculp's assessment... All you can do is wait and see).
In the meantime, you may want to download the trial of Samplitude Pro X, which is already out.
With the recent price drop and addition of 64 bit support, I'm really surprised Samp Pro X isn't getting a lot more attention.

My customer service with them has been less than stellar. DP didn't give me anywhere near the trouble logic did so it wasn't critical there, but on the hardward end it was really hard to get anything done....so yeah, I'm nervous considering the price point.Muziksculp wrote:
