hey i was just wondering im after a juno 106.

but i really hate my cheap midi controller keyboard at the minute due to its spring loaded keys. they feel really cheap and not good to play on.

so my first question would be how is the juno 106 keys for playability... do they feel cheap...

is it semi weighted....

if it isent then is it possible to add weights under the keys to make it semi- weighted. or buy specifically weighted keys for it...

i cant imagine it being difficult to add weights under the bottom of the white keys just for extra playability. maybe a few bits of lead stuck with super glue...

thanx

I've owned a couple of Juno 106's over the years. You don't need to mod the keyboard. It plays just fine.

Caution. Juno 106's keys are not velocity sensitive!
Murderous duck!

i was waiting for somebody to say that. :)

alpha juno 2 has velocity sensitive keyboard. slightly
different beast though.
(duh, ju106, can't remember, doesn't have any response
to vel, does it? no 'mode'...no, it doesn't, i'm pretty
sure of that)

Sounds like a 106, then. :hihi:

Yes

No

It'd be possible I'm sure. Not sure how good it would make it though - I'd be tempted to get a proper semi-weighted controller keyboard if it's that important to you. 106s have no velocity sensitivity, aftertouch or anything else as far as playing goes, so I'm not sure what benefit a decent playing action mod on its keys would achieve.
