Any chance you could repost? Thanks!

Sorry 'bout that.
Sorting it out now. Uploading. Will take a few hours.
This has happened before with 2shared. I'm going to look for a better service.
Maybe it is the price you pay for free hosting - perhaps they have a limit.
It happened before with another free pack I put up.

Oh well.

For the sake of expediency, I am going to use them one more time.
I will provide a link when it is done.

Does anyone have any good free sites to suggest?
I don't really do this too often so am a bit of a novice.

Never mind. I'll try to find something better. For now this should work in the interim.

cheers.

that skin is fire! Cool

Er, does that mean you approve? Cool

I might do another one seeing as no one has reported any problems.

I like the tone of the skins I did, but on another monitor I checked it on, it came out a bit 'strangely brown', which it didn't on the others I checked on.

I'm finally going to sort out my Gamma like a proper pro would. I thnk it's time.

But that would just mean that you would have to sort your Gamma....

I've got a couple of skins in the pipeline. I'm not talented enough, or have enough time to re-build the wonderful icons Geist has, but mucking about with changing a few colours here and there pays good dividends in the 'time expended/results got' dept.

It's cheap. It's easy. It causes no harm.

I've got some new 'drums' and was thinking about sampling them.
Maybe I will do it all in another release....

codec_spurt - Embarassed wow, just happened on this thread and read that.. thanks for the compliments - they mean a lot! I will update the manual soon and add bookmarks, it was an oversight not to include them originally.

And also thank you for providing this cool stuff for free Cool

Credit where credit is due. I'm sure it was an oversight regarding including them in the first place, as all your other products have them.

I should also add that, having just completed a preset pack for Cypher/Fusor (which will be released soon and is the most arduous sound design project I've ever done), it is really amazing of you to provide a 128-preset Strobe bank - I doff my cap to you sir.

Well, Cypher/Fusor are a 'tad' more complicated than strobe. In fact Strobe is so simple that I would recommend it to a beginner starting out wanting to learn synthesis. It has much strength in depth of course...

I just worked on some presets last night to make up the numbers. Most of the sounds will re-create the samples I did for this Geist expander. But there were a few 'weird ones' so it should balance out. Nearly done...

It will include drum sounds (obviously) and quite a few basses - straight shot New Order - Industrial types and some Dubstep tempo-synced and LFO'd stylees too. Drum unt Bass.

The hard part is ordering them and getting the volumes right. My respect goes out to those that do this 'professionally'. Such a lot of work. On silly little unexciting things like making sure no ones speakers blow up...

Yep, just a few more days...

Edit:
Sorry mm_FX just saw your new post about the new manual. Excellent stuff.
You just made a great manual even better. I'll let you know if there are any spelling mistakes ;-}

Ok, these should be alright:

http://www.2shared.com/complete/EQldLIgP/Strobe-SynDrumpart1 .html

http://www.2shared.com/complete/uFL8-4up/Strobe-SynDrumpart2 .html

I tried to test the downloads but it would take me till morning to check.
I got a painfully slow connection at the moment.

I think these should be ok.
Let me know if they are not.

Let me know if they are!

cheers.

I don't see why not.
But maybe it won't.
In other words I don't know.
Suck it and see.

Let us know how you get on.

The FXpansion stuff does not seem overly protected.

In fact, anyone could download this and use it.
Lots of nice free loops. Lots of nice free drum hits. Nothing encrypted.
Just lots of lovely wavs.

Shocked

But I wouldn't be surprised at all if it did work with the CM version.

Hi.

Ok, there are one or two people still interested in this, but it is not up anywhere. It is my fault, I read the small print and the site I put it up at only allows a month of downloads then you have to do it again.

I don't have the time now.

I don't mind if anyone wants to host this. I'm sure Fxpansion wouldn't either, as it is all above board. It may be a bit big, so if anyone has the original files and wants to upload them again, albeit even temporarily, then they have my permission. This pack is absolutely free - you can do what ever you want with it.
(but please read the licence included for certain restrictions Wink)

Anyway. If someone would be so kind as to upload it somewhere and give a link.
A couple of people that want it can download it. It took me over a month of work to make. And right now, I do not have the hour or two it would take to upload.

Come on chaps, this is a community, there's a couple of KVR'rs that you know and love who are 'pretty keen' to get their hands on this.

I'll make a deal:

If someone uploads this, I'll go ahead with another pack I have in the pipeline. A couple of new skins too thrown in. I've been buying drums, building my own percussion.. But I'm moving away from doing free stuff.
No, I'm not going to start charging or selling stuff. I just have music to work on and won't have time. This new pack is half done for my use. I also have a preset pack for Strobe that I just haven't had time to finish yet. All free. That is 90 percent done. A 128 presets built mainly around the original sounds I made to use in this expander.

I'll take requests for the new skins and do it by consensus - lighter, brighter, darker etc.. That is if it is still ok with Fxpansion. They were pretty cool to let me mess about before, but things might change. But so far not one person has complained that anything does not work - so they might not be such brilliant skins but at least they don't break anything. And everything is above board and everyone is happy.

I don't care, I'd rather have the time 'Laughing', but if some bastard puts this up for his fellow Kvr'r, then I guess I will have to keep my word.

If no one uploads. No problem. I just won't do another pack and skins.
No worries mate.

But I promise, anyone who doesn't have it, I will send to my own personal server space which I am just setting up, and they can have it there. In fact, I might even put up my new stuff there and they can have that too.

Bluedad, just pm me to put yourself on the list and in the next few weeks I will give you a download link.

Why should I do all this work, with no asking for thanks, and no complaining for not getting any thanks? And then do it again?

Anyone that pm's me and asks politely, I shall give them whatever I have.

See hakey and synth one:

Really. We are at a juncture here, between the freetards and the pirates and the controllers. Which one are you? This is free, legal stuff. Maybe I should make a torrent then you would all be happy eh? I could. I probably will. But then again maybe I won't if one or two of you can not share this, while I get myself sorted out.

Enough. Pm me Bluedad if you don't get it and I will send you a link for you to download. It's only over half a gig - three hundred Mb compressed.

I haven't even put this up at the FXpansion site of freebies. This is a pretty much exclusive KVR thing.

<threat>
Or do you want me to start posting exclusively at Gearslutz?
</threat>

Very Happy

Come on chaps, I did this for you. This is a purely KVR expander.
Show some solidarity.

If not, I'll sort it out in the next couple of weeks. But you won't get the second one...

I still need time to upload, and that won't happen for the next couple of weeks.

I'm having time off here and having fun, but I need to dig out the exact files.
Upload them somewhere from my slow connection, and send you the link.

No worries. Sounds like a plan. I only have a few hundred meg space on my new website and I am not going to waste that on a sample pack i already have.

Thanks for the offer. I will send you a pm.

I think there are two files .rar'd about 150 Mb.

God bless the Good Ship KVR and all that sail in her.

Ship Ahoy!

(anyone send me a pm, I will give a link when I do upload)
