That was fun Smile congratulations Aiyn, I made my patches with the Diva Demo
and played around for a few hours before I entered, I'd never heard Diva before and was very impressed with it, easy to program but very deep.

Congrats to Aiyn!
And congrats to Doc Jon for the second prize Smile
3ees bank is really great, you'll have fun with it!
Voting was really hard this time again. There were so many great patches Smile

I'm really surprised I'm in the top 3 again. I don't think my bank was good at all to be honest.
Thanks for all the votes!

Cheers

late, but here is my list

1978
chip of the ole block
viva la diva
city never sleeps
steampunk
pink LEDS

Favourite sound:

Roland SH Clear Plastic from 1978

Can be the basis for several more sounds,
and will work great with sounds from ZebraCM.

Cheers

Just as well it was late - that would have left us with another tie. Wink

Went back and saw the scores, if my vote was in time, it would have been a tie! Shit!
Lucky for someone my wife was sick, I was just about to vote 10 hours or so ago,
but she needed help.

Divas cpu requirements sent me to a fast new Puppy linux, Dpup Exprimo,
which expands my old computers ability to use this synth. Which in turn
led to discovering the release of a new commercial version of Puppy Studio
a great way to make a portable studio, or get more out of older hardware.

Thank you everyone!

I am not sure which to chose yet because I love the sound of DIVA but I also like the idea of the endless exploration I could do with Zebra and it sounds good too. I emailed Urs hopefully I've enough time to demo Zebra a little bit tonight.

Congratulations Sami/Aiyn - a well deserved win!!!
...it was so close, soooo close!
Shocked

Can't believe I finished so high in the ranking - I'm truly speechless and big thanks to everyone who voted for me!!
(don't worry glockraw - hope your wife is feeling better!)

First time I've entered a patch(bank) competition, thanks for the prize 3ee - I'll PM you my details. It's taught me a lot, I must say - changed my approach from the 'give an infinite number of monkeys a VST and let them twiddle randomly for long enough and you'll find some decent patches' approach to actually thinking about the sound and the synthesis pathway from start to finish. That's what I've really learned from this

Respect to all the other competitors and congrats again to Sami,
...and big thanks to Hakey for organising it all (and the mini patchbank which has just appeared in my inbox! Smile )

One can only learn from the creativity in some of these sounds, it really was an inspiration. There's quite a few sounds that I'll study closely to see how they were achieved.

To the top five, bravo guys!
Aiyn's bank, my favourite, very consistent theme I thought, mellow, simple but elegantly executed and super usable. A tad retro, and in my opinion, there are no turds in this bank.

Bronto Scorpio's bank, my second favourite, well Bronto you said you're not happy with it, but the first four sounds in the bank are just fantastic. They're less "out there" than some other of your sounds, but they demand a closer look. Heavenly Chord is just so so lovely.

Doc Jon's, my third favourite bank, a tad less usable for me than the other two, but your acoustic recreations are just great. Slightly not real, which is the way I like it. "Brassica" and "MelloFlute", fantastic to play with, and also as starting points for other great sounds, very inspiring.

xhr3v's bank, thematically a bit inconsistent I thought, but I loved the less synthy sounding patches in that bank like "Synphonie" and "Infinite forest". Especially Synphonie is just super usable, like a medieval string instrument, just great.

satYatunes's bank, my number 5, has a nice vintage rawness to it, the S.Arp (great duophonic fun!), the String Pad and the Phasey Pad are just lovely.

Needless to say, there were more great patches to be found in other banks.
Thanks to everyone for the great sounds!

Your bank and Aiyn's were trading places for the lead, with Bronto's bank close behind, for much of the open vote - unfortunately for you, the very last vote decided it. Sad

And it would be great if someone could give me tips for improving my patches (Color Bank).

Congrats to the winners, thanks to all who submitted patches, and to those who voted too.

I will definitely be using many of these patches as starting points and am very excited by the great diversity.

Congratulations! I really enjoyed these banks Very Happy

I want to urge people maybe to watch their output level as many banks had many presets that peaked. That makes me a sad panda:)

Congrats to the winners, and well made to all of you:)
