So, let me get this straight. To run the Virus you absolutely have to have the Powercore. You can run it in any DAW, but it will only make sounds through the PC. Any news from Access on where they go from here. Someone mentioned the possibility of a Native version, but the issues would be: cost. CPU. Sound quality.
The price at Sweetwater is $399.00. If they came out with a Native version for $400.00, would you buy it? I believe it would be the most expensive VST ever. |

Hmmm it would be too expensive. I watched some ipad apps like Korg IMS20 on youtube and found that great sounding "sunrizer" synth pad. Maybe i'll save for an used ipad.

Yeah, can't the OP change it to, "I"ve got extra money I want to get rid of, is the Virus the most efficient way to waste it?" Had a Virus C. Loved it. Bought a laptop. Sold it. Fin. The DSP56321's in the TI2 cost $40 each. The DSP56371 in Blofeld is $10. Oh. 40$ is quite expensive for a DSP chip. What's the funny part? Well, jupiter8 said that 56371 costs 4 times more than 56367, the chip in the TI1. So it's funny the one in TI2 costs exactly 4 times more than 56371. ---- Musique Eurotronique |

One positive reply after all the "sell virus, buy software" replies... I got a mostly new Virus TI2 Polar and I am very happy with it. I started with the Virus a and b models, sold them and now I am back with TI2. |

@zero/rob: I just don't get it. The way it sounds and considering there is a quote from someone who had previously not posted makes it seem like it's split from another thread (maybe rob is confirming this?) |

I'm guessing that English is not the OP's first language, and that would probably explain the awkward thread title. Incidentally, I don't think that the OP ever responded in this 10-pg thread, did he? |

Nice to see the subject hasn't lost it's touch |
