Mod Matrix in Diva?

It has a "pseudomatrix"
One of the main reasons I'm horlding off in getting DIVA is that it's not for my current CPU at all, the 2nd main reason is that my sound design is based around a modulation matrix so I feel kinda powerless without one.
I would be really happy to see a mod matrix within DIVA even if it's a small 6 row one, just something to work with!

Now that I think about it, 6 rows are very few also!
Can't even recreate Zebra's key/vel hardwired mods in it
..and once you get used with those for example, you're not satisfied with anything less, at least my opinion.

maybe he is referring the way Zebra works with "via" ...ddeez wrote:can it be a different mod matrix then the zebra one?
anyway, maybe DIVA could have her mod matrix or we'll just wait until multithreading support is implemented...

There is a matrix there at the bottom center, 2nd tab.ddeez wrote:Is there any plan for this? Like a full one? It doesn't have one at the moment I don't think unless i'm missing something.
There's plenty of possibilities from studying those modulations.
edit-
So I believe there's enuf slots there for ya.
Good luck.

We would love to do a ModMatrix, but we can't reuse our existing code for it. In fact, now that multicore support is working, we can start to make a concept. It may take some time though, and it may not be the highest item on our priority list for a few months.

Not that diva isn't already a beauty in her own right but I have to second the mod matrix request and greedily ask for a second filter.
I now feel ashamed of myself.

Heh, Diva users are requesting Zebra features (Mod Matrix), while Zebra users are requesting Diva features (especially filter modes, OSC's)

If that "second" filter could also get switched to an Oberheim SEM (w/bandpass) style that would be super sweet.iamyourfather wrote:Not that diva isn't already a beauty in her own right but I have to second the mod matrix request and greedily ask for a second filter.

I can not promise a second lowpass filter just yet. Maybe we can add one to the otherwise highpass-ish filter section, but it would be somewhat out of Diva's scope IMHO...
However I've been listening to a common friend of our's a lot, the infamous and fabulous ATC. I think we're going to offer a rather similar sounding variation of the ladder filter. Where our current one would be the "smooth" setting, that one would mark the "strong" territory.

(addendum, seing that SEM filters are currently the most avilable ones in our studio, I think they're probably also the most likely ones for a future addition)
