Sounds like a lot of the presets that come with Massive. Massive seems to have spurred a whole "sounds" that's become "Dubstep." ---- Zerocrossing Media http://www.zerocrossing.net 4th Law of Robotics: When turning evil, display a red indicator light. ~[ ●_● ]~ |

Thank you I did a bass patch like this back when it came out (well not exactly the same - but similar). When pitched up a few octaves it gave this piercing sound, just like the one you are describing. My guess is that it's the same sound (or very close) as the bassline that's the "main" sound. |

In this case could your share this sound with me please?? it's really important for me thank you I don't have a preset as such, because alot of work actually lies beyond Massive. I pretty much just used massive for a saw wave - and I could have done this with any synth. So my chain was something like: Massive Saw Wave (-2 octaves) - Some tube distortion from massive - heavy compression - EQ (mostly to boost some of the mid's) - distortion (camelphat did an awesome job to this) and voila - Already I was pretty close. Make sure your sound is monophonic and has some legato inside massive, so you can cross 2 notes to make that "glide" that makes the Troll-sound so special. Hope this helps. If not, just google how to make a Congorock - Babylon style bass, and you're close as hell |
