someone I know made this song remake for a contest that will take you to visit Korea if you win
I wonder if a better production would actually lower the chances to win since it is a contest opened to everybody and a super pro production would actually cause it to be somehow considered too good to take into account.
What do you think?

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

If your production is "too good to take into account" then the competition is clearly not open to anyone.

Haha, I was afraid of this kind of comments (I'm the girl in the video). I only used that crazy amount of Autotune because I wanted to get close to the sound of K-pop (korean pop) which is mainly based on hard autotuned vocals ... if you look up k-pop groups like 2NE1 or SuperJunior you'll see what I mean.osiris wrote:Miss Autotune Korea![]()

And by the way, for all those who think that pretty girls can't make good music, here's my Souncloud http://soundcloud.com/missjewelia

That's pretty much the only thing that matters in contests like this.coquillo wrote:How many Facebook friends do you have?

Haha, This made me watch the video! Very cool to see girls in music too.missjewelia wrote:(I'm the girl in the video).
In that aspect I think you nailed it! Very good stuff. The vocals in general are very nicely done. Only the edits near the end are a bit over the top.missjewelia wrote: I only used that crazy amount of Autotune because I wanted to get close to the sound of K-pop (korean pop)
Can we pretty boys too?missjewelia wrote: for all those who think that pretty girls can't make good music, here's my Souncloud http://soundcloud.com/missjewelia

No hard feelings Miss Jewelia. I glad we get exposed to all kinds of music here. Last month we got introduced to the joys of German 'lodge' music.
I visited (and am following you) on SC. You've got quite a voice.
(I could of sworn you looked Korean in the video)
If that's what you were going for you succeeded. Good luck.

I don't know about that missjewelia, but we'd love for you to hang out here sometime. I get such a positive energy vibe from you that's really refreshing, and you're not a bad looker to boot (yes, I am gay , but I appreciate beautiful things)
I found out the correct term is Schlager music:
