Several years ago I found a lyric by ouroboros in the lyric thread. I thought it fantastic and the melody came instantly. I came up with the music and recorded it. Alas, I was crucified for my horrible vocals and I pulled the plug.
So I approached watto (anyone seen him lately?) and asked him to do a vocal. He refused. He wanted to do a whole different version. What I'm sharing here, is what he sent me in order for me to do my part. But I thought it was so beautiful on it's own, stark and simple, that I could not come up with anything to complement it.
Hate to let it go without sharing it. Beautiful singing, excellent lyrics which just spoke the music to me.

Beautiful track! What a nice voice he has... and there are some Finn moves, as Tim astutely points out. Thank you for sharing this!
p.s. I always liked your voice too. You must have had an off day.

Wow!
That's beautiful.
Love it...great vocals and lyrics.
Maybe try some acoustic guitar, and a mellotron flute thing for the short break, add some violins, w/t mellotron flute for the short buildup toward the end there.
Don't forget the trance re-mix version though...

If I could get back in touch with watto, it might work to add your suggestions.
As it is, all I have is this mp3 to work with.
My fault, as he did gently prod me to do my part.

crikey! great to see you around!Watto wrote:Incidentally, I don't remember any of your above anecdote lol. I must have been involved, though...
glad I didn't embellish the story too much!
but I did send you the track and asked for your vocal; but you wanted to do something where we both contributed to the music. i'm sorry I didn't follow up on my end.
