Last time I downloaded the beta it was called Head Case 1.01 DEMO R1 but now there are lite versions and bulder version etc. Is there one rar file I can download or ? I got in on the beta version so long ago I forgot about Head Case until this thread popped up.

The Headcase light demo 1.53 is the most uptodate release:

The full Headcase 1.5 beta's are amazing... should take the modeling world by storm!
Now the proud owner of an avid 11 Rack, Running Pro Tools 10.3.3 - for me it's heaven!

Right now it's not taking my world by storm. As I said the download arrangements are a bit confusing. Couldn't they just have a zip file or installation like everyone else? I downloaded the lite version but there is no interface.

AFAIK there isn't any actual modeling in any of this stuff. It's all waveshapers, of course that doesn't mean the sound can't be good.

It's still a beta! That's what we signed up and paid for--to be able to test the technology and comment and be the first in line to get it. :-) Have you come to the beta site and read the instructions? When everything is released, all will be clear and very usable. ;-)

I've got a hamster on a treadmill driving my CPU, so required processor speed is always a concern.

(Yes - I know I need a new computer, but braces for my youngest, car insurance for my 16 year old son and college tuition for my daughter are obstacles to that prospect at this time).
I should have re-checked over at the beta forums, i'd have had this sooner ! lol Sorry.

All the info needed was posted at GAM. You must have missed the part where I said "READ THIS PLEASE". HaHa..

There was an install provided as well as instructions, and it would have explained to you that you have to install the heads you want by downloading the provided head images...(Hence why there was no interface, there was no heads installed)
There is instructions on how to install heads in case you missed it at the beta forum..

Not a simple wave shaper as some would have you believe haha. I had one guy say Head Case is just a simple wave shaper... I thought, "Note to self, find out where he gets his drugs and buy some for our next development".

I certainly hope it doesn't take the modeling world by storm, Hell I'd rather set my hair on fire than that! haha Head case was never designed to be just a modeler, or just a waveshaper. Instead I hope it creates a division between what we're doing, and what every other company is doing. Before I get flamed, as appealing as that usually is to me, :hihi: its not something I have time for, so I want to clarify, I think there is nothing wrong with modeling, and I think there is nothing wrong with wave shaping. Our direction includes a little of both...Sort of... Its mostly just what comes out of our minds and whatever technology fits the bill is used.

Sorry, but I feel a ramble coming on...

As I've said before, we don't exist to create what is commercially viable, as crazy as that sounds we stil are not comfortable being a 100% commercial entity. That would mean we have to give up on what we WANT to do and do stuff that sells. There is absolutely no way we would have entered into the Head Case development if our main consideration was profit. With over a years worth of development costs for two developers. We could have just created a bunch of amp heads and effects over a couple months with one developer and released.

So on the positive side, we spent our efforts trying to do something different. It was very time consuming and costly in a lot of areas above just finances. But, it was time to tackle what we had spoke of internally for a long time, for us, it needed to happen. We had been speaking about this since we released Guts and Smack? (I don't remember the name right now) but those two were the precursor to head case.

Talk is cheap though, so I invite you and anyone who wants to, to go download the beta and try it out. But please! read the thread! haha..
:)
This is the official head case testing thread.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, myself and others here will do our best to get you up and running. We also have a head case group on face book. Some of us are usually hanging around there and can chat if need be..

Thanks.. :)
