Setup for Live use using Presonus FP10s

So I have two Presonus FP10s and I am wanting to use them for live effect processing use with VSTs. Is it possible to use the FP10s and Cantabile like inserts?

I'm thinking I would come out from an analog board (using the insert) and into the two FP10s (so 16 channels daisychained together), and then back out from the FP10s and into the analog board...using the Cantabile software to specify each channel coming in and going out.

Just not sure that is correct or if it is even possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Usually you can't choose two audio interfaces in one vst host instance.

If there is no Presonus driver doing this you might end up with running two instances of Cantabile - one for each audio interface. To my understanding this chaining would also need a single clock for both interfaces - but during a quick peek with Presonus site the Presonus FP10 seem not to support HW clock chaining.

"daisy chaning" digital isn't as simple as with analogue mixers...

Just got it all setup and it works perfectly! The Presonus driver automatically made the two interfaces one ASIO interface. Everything appears to be flawless and real time with my analog board. No clock neeeded I guess. I've got 18 in and 18 out, loving it.

Glad to hear that your driver did the trick!
