Title says it all. Sorry if I'm blind/can't find it and it's in plain sight. I'm trying to create an Arp-ing effect on some white noise and I don't want to do it manually. Thanks for your help! |

not sure if such a filter exists (EDIT: except for EVERY single filter with a keytracking control, as suggested by everyone else in the thread. i'll leave this post as a monument of my stupidity. however, you could try using a plugin to convert MIDI notes to MIDI CC messages and get the wanted result. check out midiNotesToCC by Insert Piz Here: http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=pizmidi Last edited by bpblog on Wed May 02, 2012 1:27 am; edited 4 times in total |

FXpansion's Etch Filter does exactly that, it has a lot of Midi features on board.
Here is a litlle demo I made a while ago just using Etch's self resonance and Midi notes for Filter Cutoff control. http://soundcloud.com/sampleconstruct/selfresonating-midi-et ch No, I don't work for FXpansion.... |

Hi,
Zebrify ( come with Zebra ) can do this when you put key follow to modulate the filter. |

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll check these all out in depth in a bit. I wanted to use it with Massive but I somehow managed to not learn about Key tracking after 5 years of producing haha. |

Any filter with key tracking will do it for you. I particularly like FabFilter volcano for this. In addition to standard key tracking, it has an LFO w/ "snap to note" feature that will place the cutoff at that exact note value. Kind of tough to explain but basically it turns the filter into an arpeggiator. |
