Hi Guys.

How would you go, apart from the classic ''Just some saw waves stacked with unison, reverb, and some delay'' to make such massive Synthlines?

I'm just dying to know what makes their sound so Massive.. i know most people will always say that Chords are very important too, and they are, but i've read that hardwell and a lot of these guys use just 2 note chords, so how is it that they can nail such a perfectly big room synth?

Thanks!

That 'just do an supersaw and put big reverb on it' didn't result as well as those biggy room synths! :(

Layer two or more synths, process them (compress, EQ, reverb etc.), pan one of them 10% left and other about 12 % right.

What vst u recomend best for this kind of synths? Massive or Sylenth1?

for these kinds of synths, i would personally recommend the access virus Ti, but sylenth or massive can do farely well too. I would recommend making saw waves with maximum voices, detuning them a little, adding some square waves with pitch bends at low volume so that they give a subliminal epic feel and some of that classic noise with the synth. Also, to top it off, compress it to give it some attack and distortion; maybe add some EQ'ing and the best tool for making your sounds like sugar: sausage fattener! or ohmicide if you know how to use it right...

Here is a pretty cool tutorial for you sylenth users. I think that this guy added sausage fattener, compressor, reverb, and EQ before he started making the big room synth in sylenth, but you can test that out yourself if you want to learn more about making these big synths in sylenth.

Hope this helps! :)
