I like this iphone midi app (http://www.shakemidi.com). It's not an 88 key keyboard, but it has a pitch wheel and you can use it like a MIDI sequencer and customize 10 patterns worth of 8 notes each and each note can be any one of the 127 from C-2 to G#8. You can also shake it to send the notes instead of tapping.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/midi-stu ... 20275?mt=8#

Why this app is special or advantages over other products:

Many users looking for a product which would have following things in one app and in one package:

    1) Velocity with touch sensitivity like in GarageBand.

    2) Keys Scale with different key size.

    3) Arpeggiator

    4) Two Keyboards

    5) Drum pads

    6) X&Y pads

    7) Knobs/Faders side by side with the keys (It's knobs like Cutoff, Release, Attack, Sustain - this is basic stuff works with musician. Strange why this has not been previously in the market if hardware controllers have this features)

Someone say all this items was all in different programs! But all this features separated. I can use keys in one app, but for drums I should buy another program. If keys is contain [keys scale] feature then this application no have velocity, knobs/faders and arpeggiator.

Some app's no have [key scales] but have velocity. Some app's have faders/knobs but the design of this app very poor quality or very difficult to work with. Also if application contain [drum pads], then none velocity, etc. Reasons for the appearance of the product like Midi Studio are many. Musician sometimes lack of basic necessities, so it was decided to include it all in Midi Studio to solve users request.

Good luck!

another vote here ... and if want to afford it: Lemur!

MIDI Studio is nice but since but it does not seem to have customizable MIDI CC until then it's only half way there!
E.g. a lot of Hardware and even enough softsynths have fixed MIDI-CC that may not conform with MIDI Studio's setting.

Awesome! Haven't done wireless yet but Midi Studio is excellent for controlling virtual midi on the iPad. I am using the dual keyboard with ThumbJam on channel 1 and NlogSynth Pro on channel 2. Very nice!

Presets/templates/layouts will be in next version 2.0. But not only this feature will be, you can check what new will be in Midi Studio on this website: www.wiksnet.com. There are many interesting features: like midi guitar, custom drawing, etc... I think next release of Midi Studio 2.0 will be in 23 June.
