From what ive seen its a pretty limited small monosynth....thst has beem going for sround £200 on ebay recently!
Whats the atraction, do they sound amazing or something?
I saw one for £50 last year in a well known secondhand shop, wished i bought it now...easy money

Well, i dont really trust vidoes like that, but even so it seems im not missing out on snything.....but if i see another one for £50 im gonna grab it

Even the most basic of analogue synths can sound great if you are creative. The synth might only have one osc, but you could do things like record the same part twice with slight detuning and the pan the parts left and right in your DAW to get a fatter sound.
I'm puzzled by the lame stuff that people have done with the Korg Monotribe. The potential is huge, but people don't seem to do anything creative with them.

fifty quid, yeah, but you're mugging yourself if you
pay loads for one of those, and it would have to be the
mkII. years ago, i turned down one of those old electroharmonix,
an original one, made of cardboard or something. don't think
i regret that too much.
the midi-up monotron/duotron/tribe looks interesting. would
b e good if you could get at all the usual parameters but they
seems quite restricted(so far)
(aargh, also did not pick up an eminent 218 leviathan for 25eu;
was faulty but not terminal; sounded really great, but you'd
literally need a van to move it)
