Hello

I am trying to make that driving psytrance kick sound using ableton drum racks and just cannot get the pattern right.

Here is something I have come up with - as you can tell it needs a bit of work.

No mastering or anything on it at present.

Hi mate,

Cant listen to that at work unfortunately.

The psy kick sound comes from a very quick pitch drop usually on a sine wave.
I used to create mine on Soundforge, although any editor will do.
Now I use RP Punch though, and tune the kick to the bassline

How are you going about this on Drum Racks?

Watch and tweak from this .add some comp and eq also

It is mainly the midi arrangement I am having problems with.

I bought the nuborn psytrance pack ages ago and that has a few kick samples but no drum midi arrangements (it has midi bass and leads).

I found a great psytrance ableton tutorial on youtube yesterday showing how to setup the drum rack and also a midi sequence - then firefox crashed and I cannot find the video today

It is just getting that crazy beat I need.
