So I've been forced to use SampleTank because SampleTron crashes Ableton Live quite a bit. Every single time you remove the plug-in actually. The response to support was to use it in the free SampleTank 2.5 instead. If you ask me, they should fix such a 100% reproducible bug, but oh well...

So I'm using SampleTank 2.5 for the SampleTron library now. Works fine and definitely love the library (more than M-Tron Pro even). But my god what an ugly plug-in, the tiny text over a red background, you barely see anything.

So I'm wondering...

Since SampleTron seems like just a skin for Sampletank, would it be possible to put the SampleTron skin on sampletank?

Has anyone heard of updates coming to SampleTron and/or SampleTank that would fix bugginess and ugliness?

You can change the background color easy. I find a nice light blue is better than the default fire engine red.

How is this done? I've checked all over the interface and in preferences, I don't see it. I wouldn't mind just a white background so I can read the tiny text.

to the right of the display screen they r three knobs vertically laid out....Col, Lum and Sat...
and yes they are small too..
fiddle with those

I have to say that is a HUGE improvement, I could never stand working with that red background, I may have given Sampletank more of a chance had I known this trick long ago.

I'm sure SampleTank 3 will open all the old formats. But Sampletank 3 is an entirely new product with new libraries so it will cost you.

I've said it here a couple of times. I think IK Multimedia should release a free SampleTank 3 player much like Kontakt player, this could be used to open old formats.

Well when you couple uglyness with buggyness you don't stand much of a chance at getting tweaked.

Are there any tools that allow conversion to Kontakt? That would maybe be cool.
